Applied Statistics

: Students will generate a data set of the linear measurement. Calculate the mean, mode, median, and range of the data set. create a histogram of recorded measurements showing class interval and frequency. *Dial Caliper * Measurements for the 27 cubes Notebook In the above picture I calculated te mean, mode, range and median. After finding the measurements of the 27 cubes, I did the math to find the mean, mode, median, and range of the data set.

Puzzle Cube.

Our most recent project we have been working on was titled "Puzzle Cube" which we took part in for multiple days. We had very specific steps we had to take in order to create the final presentation;

First we had to create combinations using blocks of a number of 3,4,5 and 6 cubes.

second we had to take at least one of those combinations to make a 3 x 3 cube.

third we had to take our 27 numbered and initialed cubes and create the combination we came up with , then we had to color each of the combinations from 3,4,5 or 6 a different color and glue the pieces together. Lastly we had to create a packaging for the cube including a logo, warning label, bar code and graphics. we were to be as creative as possible with our packaging because creativity gives points. we had to act as if the puzzle cube would be sold and think of the criteria we went over for design process.

Also we had to write in our engineering notebook throughout the whole project and write down each step of the process we completed in coming further to the finally piece.

the project has to be turned in by 3/30/2012.

Perspective Sketches.

In the project we accomplished to draw and understand the meaning of perspective drawings. we had to draw an example of a one point perspective , two point perspective and three point perspective. All on what we call a horizon line. Then we had to answer two conclusions questions on vanishing points, and the difference between , one point , two point and three point perspective.

Evolution Of A SMARTBOARD.

In this project i was asked to choose any product and create a powerpoint about the evoulution and how it has been imprevised ever the years of time and update on technology.

Enginering NoteBook.

Here in my notebook i was asked the following questions:

1) What can be discovered through research of a products past innvoations.

2) If you were a designer , what would you do to enhance or change your product?
3) what sre some global and human impacts that have accured as a result of your product?
and lastly
4) what are some things that you would do different if you could present your product again?

Power Point

Oblique View Drawing.

In this project we have to draw each figure as an oblique and answer the following conclusion questions.

Isometric View Drawing.

This project consisted of drawing isometric figures from any smaller sheet of paper on to another bigger sheet.

History Of Measurements.

Johanna and I both worked on the measurement project together. First we analyzed the questions that we had to answer. after we did our research on the measurements in order to answer the question , we set up a PowerPoint (as shown below) as an organized way to answer out questions.

also as part of the project we had to make a CD cover which consisted of
  • the name of the project,
  •  the name of the student(s)
  • The Block and Day
